Tanzania, Eagles Clash Kicks Off At 2.30pm

The Tanzania Football Federation has confirmed the time and venue for the September 5, Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between the Taifa Stars and the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

According to the Nigeria Football Federation, the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam which boasts a natural grass playing pitch has been chosen to host the tie between the Taifa Stars and Super Eagles.

The statement from the NFF also added that the September 5 tie will kick off at 4.30pm Tanzania time (2.30pm in Nigeria).

The Super Eagles are hoping to sustain the momentum having recorded a 2-0 win over Chad in their first game of the qualifying series.

On their part, Tanzania are keen to restore their pride after the opening day 3-0 loss to Egypt in Cairo. The Tafia Stars who are currently occupying bottom spot in Group G are looking to create an upset against Nigeria.

  • I thought it was 2:30pm Tanzanian time. That will be suya-like heat. 4:30pm Tanz time is cool enough and the grass is natural green grass. It’s ok by me and my friends. The only thing is will these new players gel? Tanz should not be a problem on paper but if Eagles loss the match, Oliseh will now realise that the statement “Nigeria Super Eagle’s job is the hardest job on earth” is not a joke. Bye bye honeymoon! If he draw and Egypt win- bye bye honeymoon. If he wins and the win is the doubtful type- bye bye honeymoon. There will immediately be an Oliseh ‘Critique Club of Nigeria’ CCN. I and my friends are following every moves Oliseh is making. He did not Oghali and Iheanacho. OK o.
