EXCLUSIVE By Johnny Edward:
Former Super Eagles captain Sunday Oliseh has admitted that he is in talks with the Nigerian Football Federation over becoming the new Super Eagles coach, completesportsnigeria.com can exclusively report.
But the former Ajax and Juventus midfielder was quick to add that nothing has been agreed upon yet with the NFF.
"Well yes there have been talks in that regard but no concrete agreement has been reached," Oliseh told Completesportsnigeria.com from his base in Belgium on Tuesday.
If Oliseh reaches an agreement with the Nigerian Football Federation and takes over as coach of the Super Eagles, he will be be the fourth ex-player to have handled the senior national team in five years.
Augustine Eguavoen (2010-2011), Samson Siasia (2011–2012), Stephen Keshi (2012–2015) have all guided the three-time African champions.
Shaibu Amodu, who was formally appointed the country's technical director last week, takes over as caretaker coach and will be assisted by Salisu Yusuf until a permanent successor is appointed.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
