Dolphins of Port Harcourt are through to the next round of the Federation cup after a 3-1 defeat of Ingas FC, Enugu at the Warri City Stadium.
Ebube Okpokwu handed the winners the lead in the first half before Ifeanyim Egwim doubled the lead before the break and Emem Eduok made it 3-0 after the break but was soon to be sent off, forcing the Port Harcourt side to play the remaining half with 10 men.
The Coal City side took advantage of their numerical advantage to get a consolatory goal during the stopage time.
Head coach, Stanley Eguma was full of praises for his side saying they showed grit and guts in holding their ground despite the odds.
“It was not an easy game for us. Though we were 3-0 up before Egwim’s expulsion, I must give respect to the Ingas boys for their fighting spirit and also kudos for my boys for holding on well”, Eguma said.
