100 Supporters Club Members Storm Volgograd From Moscow For Eagles Vs Iceland

By Nnamdi Ezekute in Russia:

No less than 100 members of the The Nigeria Football Spporters Club left Moscow for Volgograd Thursday morning by train after succeeding in getting help from thd Nigerian consulate in sorting out travel hitches, including immigration issues on transit borders, and the President-General of the NFSC assured that the Super Eagles will get the crucial vociferous support in their Friday’s second Group D match of Russia 2018 FIFA World, Completesportsnigeroa.com reports.

The supporters had been holed up in Moscow, very aggrieved decrying a lack of support from the Nigeria Football Federation as they ran into problems traveling to the Super Eagles’ match venues.

Only a very limited number of the spporters club members made it to Kaliningrad from Moscow for the Super Eagles’ first match on June 16 which Croatia won 2-0. They had arrived in Moscow, in batches, from different parts of world but met cul-de-sac due to the problematic Russian transportation network.

“We have made adequate arrangements for a 24-hour trip to Volgograd and we believe the Eagles will win the game,” told Completesportsnigeroa.com in Russia. “They will get massive supports in Volgograd.

“The team made mistakes against Croatia, and we are aware that coach Gernot Rohr has corrected the errors.

“We are begging and appealing to every Nigerian to pray for the team because they still have what it takes to beat Iceland and Argentina to qualify for the next round.”
