1. EL-KANEMI'S 'ZERO DRAW' SITUATION
El Kanemi Warriors are the only team in the NPFL without a draw after 15 games. The Maiduguri Warriors have recorded eight wins at home and seven away defeats. Are they condemned by this jinx to lose to 3SC in Ibadan on Wednesday?
2. ODEY & Bala – THE TWO HAT TRICK HOLDERS
The only two players to have scored a hat-trick each this season in the Nigeria Professional Football League are MFM FC's Stephen Odey and Plateau United's Reuben Bala. Odey cracked his famous thrree against Lobi Stars on matchday-3 at Agege Stadium Lagos. He currently leads the scorers chart with 12 goals. Bala netted his hat trick in Plateau United's win against ABS.
3. SUNSHINE & ENYIMBA – THE "BADDEST" BOYS
Sunshine Stars of Akure and Enyimba International of Aba are the two dirtiest teams in the NPFL. Each of the two clubs have amassed 36 yellow cards and three red cards after 15 games in the league.
4. RIVERS UNITED & RANGERS – MOST GOAL SHY!
Rivers United (18th) and Enugu Rangers (19th) are the two lowest scoring teams in the NPFL, with eight goals apiece scored.
5. 'THE 3 STARS' WHO FIRED COACHES
Remo Stars, Lobi Stars and Sunshine Stars of Akure are the three clubs who have sacked their coaches so far this term over poor league fortunes.
6. POOR CONTINENTAL REPS ARE POOR LEAGUE RUNNERS
All four teams that represented Nigerian in CAF competitions are all languishing in the second half of the table; FC Ifeanyi Ubah (12th), Wikki Tourist (15th), Rivers United (18th) and Enugu Rangers (19th). Enugu Rangers and Rivers United crashed out of the CAF Champions League dropping to the CAF Confederations Cup, while Wikki Tourist and FC Ifeanyi Ubah were dumped out of the CAF Confederations Cup.
7. 'FAMOUS-FIVE' WITH THE AWAY WINS
Five teams; El-Kanemi Warriors, MFM FC, Niger Tornadoes, Abia Warriors and Plateau United are the only teams with away wins this season after 15 NPFL games. Each of the clubs have recorded one away win. INCREDIBLE!
8. KUEMIAN & GODBLESS WITH 4 OF RIVERS' 8 GOALS
Six players have scored for Rivers United this term, and two of them scored four of club's eight goals so far this season. They are Guy Kuemian (2 goals) and Asamoah Godbless (2 goals). Others with one goal apiece include, Emeka Ogbugh, Nzube Anaemena, Lukeman Mohammed and Esosa Igbinoba.
9. 3SC – DRAW SPECIALISTS; REMO, GOMBE, FC IFEANYIUBAH – HIGHEST LOSERS
Shooting Stars, Kano Pillars and Niger Tornadoes have the highest number of draws in the NPFL this season (7 each), while Remo Stars, Gombe United and FC IfeanyiUbah have recorded seven defeats each so far ahead of match-day 16.
10. LOBI STARS HOLDS HIGHEST CLEAN SHEETS
Lobi Stars have recorded seven clean sheets so far this season – the only team with the most clean sheets in the Nigeria Professional Football League. Plateau United, El Kanemi Warriors, Niger Tornadoes and Enyimba have kept six clean sheets while MFM, Kano Pillars and ABS have kept five clean sheets.
11. EL-KANEMI WARRIORS ARE TOP WINNERS
El Kanemi Warriors boast of having the highest number of wins in the NPFL so far this season – nine wins. They have recorded eight home wins and one away win. MFM and Plateau United are joint second with each recording eight wins.
