England-born Nigerian forward, Dominic Solanke, scored the only the solitary match Winner as 10-man junior three lions pipped Mexico n the quarter-finals of the ongoing 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup in South Korea, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Solanke scored in the 47th minute to send England into the semi-finals for the first time since the 1993 U-20 World Cup in Australia.
Also in action were Fikayo Tomori, Ademola Lookman, Joshua Onomah and Ovie Ejaria who replaced Lookman.
Sheyi Ojo was an unused substitute in the game.
England were however reduced to 10 men following a red card to Onomah in the 72nd minute.
England will face Italy in the semi-finals on Thursday.
