2014/2015 Nigeria National League Kicks Off Saturday

The Executive Board of the Nigeria National League (NNL) has confirmed that the 2014/2015 NNL league season will commence this weekend just as the participating clubs have all known their opponents for the opening week, NNL chairman, High Chief Emeka Inyama has informed Completesportsnigeria.com.

NNL Chairman, High Chief Emeka Inyama disclosed this much in a chat with the media in Abuja yesterday after a meeting of the board called to fine-tune the commencement of the league on May 16, 2015.

He assured that the league which has suffered two postponements will start on Saturday after all the impediments which have bedeviled the early kick-off have been resolved including the decision to allow clubs to pick the bills of the match officials for now.

The NFF executive board member regretted the late commencement  of the 2014/2015 NNL season and assured that all the lost ground will be recovered, pointing out that the delay was
occasioned by the month-long General Elections in Nigeria starting from the February 28
Presidential Elections.
