By Johnny Edward: D’Tigers’ departure for the 2019 FIBA World Cup qualifiers in Bamako, Mali has been postponed till a later date this week, a top source has confirmed to Completesportsnigeria.com.
The D’Tigers team were billed to depart Nigeria today (Monday) according to a statement from the Nigerian Basketball Federation (NBBF).
The qualifier is expected to hold between 23 February and 25 February, and Nigeria will face Uganda, hosts Mali and Rwanda.
“Truth is the NBBF are still searching for funds to fly the team to Bamako,” the source revealed to CSN on Monday.
“Hopefully by Thursday we should be in Bamako for the qualifiers.
