–Despite Sunshine Stars hard line stance
Shooting Stars of Ibadan remain adamant they will secure the release of Sunshine Stars duo of Dele Olorundare and Ajani Ibrahim before league resumes on April 19.
Both South-West Nigeria clubs have been locked in bitter transfer feud over the two players.
General Manager of Shooting Stars, Rasheed Balogun said on Thursday talks are continuing between the two club and remained optimistic all issues will be resolved before league restarts on April 19.
“We’re still on the table and hopefully all issues will be sorted out”, Balogun, a former Sunshine Stars Team Manager told Complete Sports on Thursday.
It was understood Sunshine Stars clamped indefinite suspension on the players, alleging that they bolted away from the club without official permission.
Having communicated LMC of their sanction on the players, it has been tough for 3SC getting them vacate the sanction to ease the players release.
However, spokesman of Sunshine Stars, Wahab Bankole, informed Complete Sports that both players remain their bona fide players and only a down payment of $1m on each of them can make the club release them to any local club.
“But if it is to be a foreign club, then $5m for each of them will be a non negotiable transfer fee”, Bankole said.
