Odibe Relishes First League Goal In Romania

Nigerian defender Michael Odibe believes he can build on the goal he scored against Poli Timisoara in Concordia Chiajna’s comfortable 3-1 away win on Sunday.

The 27-year-old defender sealed his side’s win in the 90th minute to move Concordia to fourth place in the Romanian Liga 1 relegation group with six games left to play in the eight-team league format.

His compatriot, Christian Obodo, was also on target.

Speaking to Completesportsnigeria.com after the game, Odibe said: “As a defender a goal like that gives you confidence and the team, and if I am really honest I needed that.

“You just have to keep working and those goals, or any goals, will come.”

Odibe has previously featured for Siena, Arsenal Kiev, Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and FC Atrayu in Kazakstan.
