World champions Germany were defeated 3-1 at home by Slovakia in an international friendly on Sunday.
The game was part of preparation for both teams towards next month’s UEFA European Championship taking palce in France.
Former Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez gave Germany the lead in the 12th minute from the penalty spot.
Slovakia drew level through Napoli’s Marek Hamsik on 41 minutes.
With a minute left before half time, Slovakia took the lead through Michal Duris.
And in the 52nd minute, Juraj Kucka got on the score sheet for Slovakia to make it 3-1.
In another friendly on Sunday, current European champions Spain beat 10-man Bosnia-Herzegovina 3-1.
Celta Vigo’s Duran Nolito bagged a brace in the 11th and 18th minutes to give Spain a 2-0 lead.
Emir Spahic reduced the deficit when he scored in the 29th minute.
But on the stroke of half time, Bosnia were reduced to 10 men as Spahic was shown a straight red card.
And in the 90th minute, Chelsea forward Pedro Rodriguez sealed the win for Spain as he made it 3-1.
