Major League Soccer side Portland Timbers are keen to hold on to their Nigerian striker, Fanendo Adi, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The forward has attracted the interest of a number of clubs across Europe following his impressive form for Portland Timbers in the MLS.
Last season, he played a key role as Timbers won their maiden MLS Cup.
The former Denmark-based player scored 18 goals in 39 appearances, in what was his first full season with the club. Thid season he has already scored nine goals in 15 matches.
General Manager of the club, Gavin Wilkinson said they are looking to hold on to the players and will not listen to any offers for his services.
“Adi signed a three-year extension in March and we expect him to honour his commitment to our club,” Wilkinson told MLS Soccer.Com.
“Adi is an important player for the Timbers and we are not entertaining any move for him this summer.”
