Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, has admitted that the Reds’ Premier League season opener against Arsenal is a tough one for his team.
The Reds will kick off the new campaign against Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday.
In the reverse fixture last season, Liverpool held Arsenal to a 0-0 draw at the Emirates.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday, Klopp said: “Of course the start is difficult. It’s not just away, it’s away at Arsenal. Second game, a team who were promoted last season, on a high with a great atmosphere.
“It’s not easy but the Premier League is never easy. I haven’t thought for a second about it.”
The former Dortmund manager stated that Liverpool is in the mix for the Premier League title.
“We will all have problems and it’s about finding the solutions. We have tried to prepare for that in this pre-season.
“We want to fight for everything. We’re not looking for excuses. In this moment everything is possible.”
He expressed delight following the arrival of top managers to the Premier League.
“It’s exciting for everyone having big names (managers) in the league. But there can only be one winner in the league.”
On Liverpool’s absence from Europe, Klopp stated that it will only afford them the chance to prepare adequately for games.
“We are not looking for excuses. There is nothing positive about not being in Europe apart from extra time we can use to train.”
And with as many as six strikers at his disposal, Klopp said that wouldn’t force him to help strengthen rival clubs.
“Having six strikers is too comfortable. But we won’t be giving presents to other clubs,” said Klopp.
“It’s about timing. If you are involved in perfect game then it’s a good position to be in for the next game.”How Natural Herbal Remedy Killed Stubborn Staphylococcus, Ecoli And Aureus And Other Infections
