5‎ NPFL Hotshots Who Misfired For Home-Based Super Eagles At CHAN 2018

Much was expected from the veteran midfielder following his impressive showing during the qualifiers and the WAFU Cup competition in Ghana where he was one of the standout performers for the home-based Super Eagles but he failed to lived up to the high ratings in Morocco.
The Kano Pillars midfielder never impressed in all the games he featured in and was off the pace all through.
 It  was a surprise he started five of the six games the team played in the competition despite his poor showing.
The Akwa United midfielder,  like Rabiu Ali, never really get going at the 2018 African Nations Championship in Morocco. He had a good outing at the WAFU Nations Cup in Ghana and played a crucial role in his club’s Aiteo Federation Cup success  last year.
He was also hampered by injury and the red card for a rash tackle in the semi-final  win against Sudan ended his participation in the competition.
A reliable forward who showed his class by emerging top scorer in the Nigeria Professional Football League with 19 goals for Lobi Stars last season. He bagged two goals for the home-based Super Eagles in Morocco but failed to endear himself to the fans after missing countless goal opportunities in the competition.
Rated one of the best wingers in the Nigeria Professional Football League,  Emeka Ogbugh failed to make much impact at the African Nations Championship. He never hit standard expected of him in Morocco. He plays for Rivers United.
The Plateau United left-back  got the nod ahead of  Ikouwen Udoh but flopped in the three games he played at the competition.  It was a surprise he made the squad at all following his poor showing in Morocco.
