Chelsea striker with Nigerian blood, Dominic Solanke, was among the goals as England U-19s defeated Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets 8-1 at the Suwon U-19 four-nation tournament in South Korea on Wednesday.
The Nigeria U-17s were no match for their older colleagues who took a 4-0 break into half-time.
Captain Taylor Moore got the first goal in the 19th minute before Adam Armstrong made it 2-0 soon after.
Solanke made it 3-0 in the 25th minute before Armstrong completed the half-time rout.
Callum Connolly and Patrick Roberts made it 6-0 barely five minutes after the break before the Eaglets pulled one back.
Armstong, currently on loan at Barnsley from Newcastle United, completed his hat-trick in the 70th minute.
Celtic star Roberts finished the thrashing in the 87th minute.
