Nigerian forward Sone Aluko was voted Fulham’s Man of the Match in their 1-1 away draw against Queens Park Rangers in the English Championship on Saturday.
The award was announced on Fulham’s official website on Monday.
It was Aluko’s second Man of the Match award of the season.
Aluko finished ahead of Tom Cairney and Tim Ream who finished second and third respectively.
A statement on Fulham’s official website reads: “Sone Aluko has won his second Man of the Match award of the season for his performance against Queens Park Rangers.
“The wideman used his trickery to good effect at Loftus Road, with a fine run in the sixth minute ending with him drawing a foul from Jake Bidwell in the area. It was one of three successful dribbles he completed in the match, although unfortunately Chris Martin was unable to capitalise from the spot.
“In the second half Aluko twice went close to finding the net, but was denied on both occasions by the impressive Alex Smithies, who got fingertips to each of his curling left footed efforts from range.
“In was a strong all-round display from Aluko during his 88 minutes on the pitch, as he made five tackles, had 89 per cent pass accuracy, delivered three crosses and had 79 touches of the ball.
“It was a close-fought battle for the award, with just 1.3 per cent separating Aluko and runner-up Tom Cairney, who received 22.4 per cent of the votes. Tim Ream came third with 14.9 per cent.”
