Arsenal and Manchester City played a thrilling 2-2 draw in the Premier League at the Emirates on Sunday.
Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi was subbed on for Danny Welbeck while Nigeria star Kelechi Iheanacho was not in the City squad.
Theo Walcott and Shkodran Mustafi scored for Arsenal while Leroy Sane and Sergio Aguero were on target for City.
Arsenal remain sixth on 51 points, seven points away from a top four place with two games in hand.
City occupy the fourth spot on 58 points also with a game in hand.
City almost took the lead on four minutes but goalkeeper David Ospina’s ricochet came off Raheem Sterling and went off target.
A minute later Welbeck went close for Arsenal but his effort narrowly missed the target.
City eventually took the lead in the fifth minute through Sane who beat the offside trap, rounded Ospina before slotting the ball into an empty net.
In the 10th minute City almost doubled their lead but Ospina made two quick saves to deny City.
Mesut Ozil had a chance to equalise for Arsenal on 21 minutes but his tame effort was easily saved by Willy Caballero.
Alexis Sanchez went close on 30 minutes for Arsenal only to see his curler go inches wide.
Walcott made it 1-1 on 40 minutes, bringing down a looping header from Shkodran Mustafi.
City struck immediately on 42 minutes through Aguero who smashed in from a tight angle after Arsenal defence failed to clear their lines.
Walcott went close to levelling the scores on 47 minutes but his shot went just over the bar.
At the start of the second half both teams made changes with Gabriel Paulista replacing Laurent Koscielny while Yaya Toure went in for Sterling.
Arsenal got back on level terms on 53 minutes thanks to Mustafi who rose highest to head in Ozil’s corner.
Fernandinho had an opportunity to put City ahead on 58 minutes off a corner but his well struck shot was palmed away by Ospina.
Aguero almost got his brace on 65 minutes but his header was well saved by Ospina.
Ozil was presented with a big chance on 80 minutes following a mistake by a City defender but Caballero was quick off his line to clear the danger.
Arsenal broke in the 88th minute on the right and almost snatched a late goal but Iwobi shot his effort just over the bar.
