Super Eagles left-back Stanley Amuzie is set to join Swiss club FC Lugano on a season-long loan deal from Serie A side Sampdoria, Completesportnigeria.com reports.
FC Lugano finished third in the Swiss Super League last season and will be featuring in next season’s UEFA Europa League.
Amuzie, who signed a three-year deal with Sampdoria last year, did not feature for the first team last season after he rejoined the club after starring for Nigeria as they won men’s football bronze at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
“I have two offers I’m considering at the moment but the one from Lugano looks almost certain for me,” Amuzie told Completesportnigeria.com in Lagos.
Amuzie, a former Flying Sports Academy player, previously featured for Portuguese second division side Olhanense before representing Nigeria’s U-23 team at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
Amuzie noted that the Super Eagles will bounce back from their painful defeat to South Africa last Saturday in Uyo.11 BUSINESS NUGGETS FROM SUPER EAGLES BRONZE MEDAL TRIUMPH. The content of this ebook will propel you above your competition. DOWNLOAD NOW!!!
