Rohr Plots Super Eagles’ Game Plan With Zambia Videos

By David Meshioye:

Gernot Rohr has commenced close study of two Zambia’s Match footages ahead of  Nigeria’s crunch 2018 World Cup qualifier against Chipolopolo’s in Uyo on October 7, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Super Eagles’ Media Officer Toyin Ibitoye told Completesortsnigeria.com that the former Burkina Faso coach is leaving no stone unturned to ensure Zambia are flattened like Cameroon at Goodwill Akpabio Stadium.

Towards this end, Rohr has began a closer study of Zambia-Algeria double-header videos, admitting that the two matches confirmed Chipolopolo’s resurgence in Group B.

” I can confidently tell you that Super Eagles coach is seriously busy with the two Zambia’s games footages,” Ibitoye told Completesportsnigeria.com.

” Rohr has been studying the tapes with his backroom staff, with the aim of coming up with the right tactics for the game.

” All hands must be on deck, Zambia will not be taken lightly.”

Nigeria lead Group B with 10 points but would need an outright win over Zambia to guarantee her third straight World Cup qualification after matchday 5.

On the other hands, Zambia need to dig deep for a win in Uyo to take final group matches to the wire.

  • Good. Rohr is doing the right thing. Please spare us the details. You can tell us broadly what you’re doing, but please don’t ever let the cat out of the bag. We’re only interested in the outcome – the final silencing of these boastful Chipolopolo, and a trip to Russia.

That a coach is studying videos of the opponents is actually no news anywhere in the world. It’s like telling us that a teachers is marking exam papers. Again, when journalists have nothing to write they make up a story like this one of Rohr studying videos of Zambia. A sports coach does a lot of work behind the scenes, and indoors. Gernot
Rohr and most coaches have professional assistants esponsible for video technology and analysis

Sir, in as much as I respect opinions, I think you have not been fair to the writer if this story when you say journalists make up stories when they have nothing to write about. As close as I was to late Stephen Keshi, i got him footages before his AFCON triumph but after the win he stopped studying match footages, we all know the results, the rest is history. Zambia’s last two tapes are not just any tapes; they re special because that explained Zambia’s resurgence. When we write stories like this, it is aimed at passing messages to our local coaches who like some teachers don’t mark exam scripts. Sir make your opinions known, but its unfair when you get at people on social media. Thank you sir and have a blissful day.

I really love the 2 comments above mine. There is nothing new in what Rohr is doing. Who says Zambia won’t be watching our double-header against Cameroun too? Are they making any noise abt it? I think Rohr and his technical crew shd not be watching those two matches ONLY. They shd get all the 4 games Zambia have played so far in this qualification. I wish him and Nigeria all the best.

Let face the reality the Youngs bunch of Zambian players are very good.my advice to the coach of Nigeria is to take his time to remove some of our players that are weak In the two last games

No matter the opinion here no cause 4 alarm. The match’s victory is ours. Nigeria 4 V 0 Zambia.
    Take or leave it.

Hmmmmm….. Rohr made a huge mistake for using the same players for the second leg in Cameroon. Late sub and not using the right players at the right time is the main problem of Rohr. Even, If we qualify for the world cup, how far can we go? Do we just want to go to the world cup with no meaningful think? Still early to talk. God bless Nigeria!!!

  • Nigeria is richly blessed. All we lack is how to harness our resources. We should value our local league to encourage it. We should be talking of winning the world cup with the likes of great prophets like T. B. Joshua, J.Fufeyi Omoto, Pastor E. A. Adegboye, Bishop D. O. Oyedepo etc. With the grace in these men of God’s lives, Carl Ikeme sickness could be over within a week, our team would be unbeatable. A trial will convince you.

  • @ako Amado @taiwo Wilson evidence. You are not fair to the writer and he is polite replying to your ‘put-down’ comment. BBC, Sky Sport and other reputable journalist all over the world especially in the world cup season report how coaches force players to study the tapes of their opponent. The present Lillie coach does this and it was widely reported. You guys should apologize to the writer.

  • @Wilson. Can you read Matthew 24:24,25 which read: “For false Christ and false prophets will arise and will perform great signs and wonders so as to mislead (deceive), if possible, even the chosen ones. Look! I have forewarned you.” Do the remaining thinking for yourself. Don’t be deceived.

  • Anything you can think of in life has genuine and fake version including interpreters, writers, spirits, shirts, shoes, water, food, etc. All you require to possess is the the Spirit of God to discern between these two groups. The portion quoted did not say that there will not be genuine ones. See Mark 15:16-18, Jn 14:26, Luke 24:49 etc. God still uses the believers in many ways, Heb 13:8. I pray for the unbelievers. Rohr is certainly a good coach, the best foreign we have had so far, considering the short time he had spent with us. We have him by divine since the first appointee turned the offer down. He needs our support including prayers. If we give our local coaches the respect and encouragement including pay package and be sincere in our selection, they will equally perform well.

  • I pray that we qualify on 7th October and have a record-breaking outing in Russia next year in Jesus name. I also pray that all our players be in top form and have good play times in their respective clubs. Also that God guides the coach to chose a winning squad.
