D’Tigers coach, Sani Ahmed, says he expects a tough challenge from Cote d’Ivoire after the Nigerians downed Mozambique 81-64 in a 2015 All Africa Games clash on Saturday.

“We are taking the games as they come. We thank God for the victory over Mozambique and we look forward to our Sunday game with Ivory Coast,” Ahmed told completesportsnigeria.com.

He believes that his fellow West African foes should be given serious attention.

“In competitions like this, you don’t take anything to chance. Every team that comes here wants to win so we have to tighten up,” Ahmed added.

“Ivory Coast is a good side so we have to brace up for a tough game.”

In the women’s event, D’Tigress will file out against Cameroon in their second match of the group.

The matches will take place at the indoor sports hall of Revolution Hall, Congo Brazzaville.

On Saturday, D’Tigress walloped their Mozambiquan counterparts 78-62.
