By Adeboye Amosu: Abia Warriors have adopted the Krisdera Hotel Stadium, Omoku as their temporary home ground following the ban on the Umuahia Township Stadium by the League Management Company, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The LMC recently suspended the Umuahia Township Stadium from hosting matches in the NPFL until the pitch is put in good condition.
Yobe Desert Stars and Heartland Football Club of Owerri were also advised to look for alternative venues until they put their home grounds in proper shape.
“Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia of Umuahia have chosen the Krisdera Hotel Stadium, Omoku, Rivers State as their temporary home ground in the on-going 2017/2018 Nigeria Professional Football League campaign,” reads a Tweet on the club’s official Twitter handle.
Their first game at the venue will be the matchday-11 encounter against Kwara United on Sunday.
