Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor has joined Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir on a free transfer.
The ex-Arsenal star, 32, has been without a club since leaving Crystal Palace in June, and he completed a move on Tuesday to Basaksehir who are second in the Turkish Super League just two points off leaders and city rivals Besiktas.
He has been given the No.26 jersey.
Adebayor, who also played for Tottenham and Manchester City, has signed an 18-month deal in Istanbul, just days after playing for Togo at the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
He could not help Togo get beyond the first round of Africa’s showpiece tournament.
