Former Super Eagles midfielder Mutiu Adepoju has praised the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF for the move made yesterday to finally put the issue of the senior national team coaching matter to rest as Coach Stephen Keshi signed a 2-year contract with the football house in Abuja.
Adepoju who was part of the Super Eagles team to the 2002 FIFA World Cup in Korea/Japan said the fact that Keshi has finally signed the contract will now help Nigerian football to move forward.
He also appealed to the football house to do everything possible to back the coach in his bid to take Nigeria football to the next level.
“I think it is good news to hear that the issue of who coaches the Super Eagles has been put to rest and with this development, our football can now move forward,” he says.
“I will also enjoin Coach Stephen Keshi to put all that happened in the past behind him and focus on the future. He should be ready to work with his employers, Nigerian players, the media and everyone that contribute positively to the growth of the team.
Meanwhile, the football house has promised to give him 150% backing in his second coming as the Super Eagles coach.
