–Former Eagles striker declares ahead tomorrow’s tie
Mutiu Adepoju has underline the importance of tomorrow’s friendly match between the Super Eagles and their United States of America, USA counterparts, saying it will give Nigerians a clear picture of what the Super Eagles are and what indeed Nigerians should expect from the Stephen Keshi charges at the World Cup in Brazil.
“The game against USA I think is going to be very important because it’s the last of the friendly schedules of the team before the World Cup”, Adepoju who made his World Cup debut in USA in 1994 said.
“Besides, it will be best ground for Keshi to put on parade what could probably be seen as his likely starting team and of course it will give nigerians opportunity to see what the team will look like in Brazil.”
Adepoju is the Administrator of the famous Kwara Football Academy. He believes the Eagles will put up a better performance against the Americans than they did in previous games against Scotland and Greece.
“The USA team will be playing in the World Cup just like Greece so they will give the Eagles a good test. Again, the Super Eagles players know they must be at their best to command shirts in the team so I expect a tough game”.
