Nigeria forward Fanendo Adi continued his impressive form in front of goal for Major League Soccer side Portland Timbers by hitting the back of the net in the club's CONCACAF Champions League 4-2 defeat against Costa Rican outfit Deportivo Saprissa early Thursday morning, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Adi, who has netted 14 times in the MLS this season, scored his side's second goal in the 68th minute of the encounter.
The former Ukraine-based forward has now scored four goals in his last five games for his club.
He bagged the winner in Sunday's 1-0 win in the MLS against Real Salt Lake.
It was the MLS champions' first defeat in the continental competition and they are now second in the group with a win and defeat from their opening two games.
