African U17 Championship Qualifiers: Nigeria Aim To Congo

World Champions Nigeria are firm favourites to qualify  for the African U-17 Championship, when they host Congo DR today in the second leg, final round  qualifier at the Moshood Kashimawo Abiola [MKO] Stadium, Abeokuta.

The Golden Eaglets beat the Congolese 1-0 in the first leg last weekend, leaving the the East Africans with a mountain to climb in their bid to qualify for the final competition to be hosted by Niger.

It’s the first time the team  will be playing in Abeokuta as their usual fortress,UJ Esuene Stadium, Port Harcourt is presently under going a renovation process.
Handler of the side, Emmanuel Amuneke was not a happy man despite his side’s  victory victory in KinshaSha last weekend.

The Eaglets wasted a lot of goalscoring opportunities and a visisbly disappointed Amuneke is hoping for a better performance.

‘’I’m not happy despite the fact that we won the match,’’ begins the former Super Eagles winger.

‘’If we had taken our chances, the story would have been different because we had all the chances but we wasted so much.
