Agali Predicts Nigeria Vs Algeria Will Be Boring

By Johnny Edward:

Former Super Eagles striker Victor Agali has predicted that Saturday's 2018 World Cup qualifier between Nigeria and Algeria will be a cagey affair, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Agali who played under Gernot Rohr during the 2005/2006 season at OGC Nice in the French Ligue 1 where he scored 11 times in 38 games, said the Super Eagles versus the Fennecs is a game that will be won from the bench.

The former Schalke 04 forward also added that both coaches (Rohr and George Leekeens) have a point to prove with the game, to gain more confidence from their employers.

"The game won't be interesting because both coaches know the consequences of losing," the former Olympic star told Completesportsnigeria.com.

"The game will be won from the bench and whoever takes the chances in the game stands a good chance of winning.

"Both coaches know the consequence of losing, so they will set up their team to avoid defeat."

Agali is also confident that Rohr will get the best out of Odion Ighalo and Brown Ideye just as he did with him at Nice.

Both strikers have failed to score in their last two games for the Super Eagles.

"He knows what to do to make them fire in the goals again. They are good strikers who must play around quality creative midfielder to score goals."
