By Johnny Edward: Nigerian defender Uche Agbo was sent off in his 21st league start for Standard Liege who lost 2-1 to Kortrijk in a Belgian Pro League game on Wednesday night.
Agbo was first cautioned by the referee in the 34th minute before receiving his marching orders three minutes after the break.
Razvan Marin scored for Standard Liege in the 65th minute but an own from Luis Pedro Cavanda in the 83rd minute restored parity for hosts Kortrijk.
Jeremy Perbet sealed the win for Kortrijk in the 90th minute.
The win moved Kortrijk to seventh in the table with 26 points from 21 games with a superior goal difference of -2 ahead of Standard Liege who are tied with the same points.
Agbo will miss Standard Liege’s home clash against Eupen on 20 January, 2018.
In Scotland, Efe Ambrose was in action for Hibernian who forced Hearts to a 0-0 draw on Wednesday night. Ambrose has made 22 Scottish Premiership appearances this season, scoring once. Hibernian occupy fourth place in the table with 34 points from 22 games.
