-Denies Turkish interest
BY JOHNNY EDWARD:
Nigerian forward, Imoh Ezekiel, is on the radar of three Turkish teams according to Turkish daily fanatik.com.tr but his representative Liameed Gaffar has told completesportsnigeria.com that there are no concrete offers for the 21 year old forward.
Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray and Trabzonspor are the Turkish clubs that were reportedly interested but Liameed revealed that only Real Sociedad and Wolfsburg have made contact with Al Arabi for the Nigerian star.
"There are no concrete offers from Turkey but I can confirm that we are in talks with Real Sociedad and Wolfsburg and not teams from Turkey as we speak," Gaffar told compltesportsnigeria.com.
"And I can confirm that he doesn't want to return to Qatar and will stay in Europe."
Ezekiel, who scored his fifth goal of the season for Standard Liege on Sunday in their 1-1 draw against Anderlecht and was sent off for a second bookable offence in stoppage time, commands a fee of €12m but will be allowed to depart if his suitors can cough up €8million provided the special clause in his contract is triggered.
The draw means his side occupy fourth spot in the Play-Off I standings with 37 points and are in the chase for a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
