By James Agberebi:
Former Nigeria international Alloy Agu has hailed the re-appointment of Stephen Keshi as coach of the Super Eagles.
After a long wait, the NFF finally re-appointed Keshi, who will handle the Eagles for two years.
Speaking with Completesportsnigeria.com, Agu called on Nigerians to give Keshi all the necessary support.
“It’s a nice one. It’s a good thing that it has happened now so that the Super Eagles players can start preparing for the games ahead,” Agu began.
“Everybody has expected it and now it has happened. We thank God for it, and we should pray and support him so that he performs well.”
Agu posited that Keshi’s experience with the team will help him to succeed.
“He knows what it takes to succeed, so he has to remain on that course. There will be a lot of distractions, but I believe he knows what it takes to win. And as long as he continues to focus on his goal, continue to pray and work hard, I believe he will surely get there.
“The most important thing is that he has won before and so he knows the procedure and he knows what it takes. So he just has to continue on what he knows how to do best.”
