Former Nigeria international, Alloy Agu, has expressed his delight following his appointment as the new Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer.
Agu was unveiled along with new Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh and assistants; Jean Francois Losciuto and Salisu Yusuf on Wednesday in Abuja.
In a chat with Completesportsnigeria.com, Agu said the coaching crew have already set their sights on the AFCON qualifier against Tanzania.
“We give glory to God, I feel great about the appointment and I will want to use this opportunity to thank the Nigeria Football Federation for the appointment, I am really grateful.
“We have started working towards the game against Tanzania. We are looking forward to coming back to camp and getting the players ready for the game.
The 1994 AFCON winner gave his reason why he switched from the U-23 to the Super Eagles.
“We are servants and wherever we are asked to go, we ought to go. But the U-23 has a game against Congo on Sunday which means I will be part of the match before going over to the Super Eagles. By the special grace of God, we will come out victorious in that Match.”
