–To be free and fair in their dealings
Former Nigeria international, Fatai Amoo has urged all aspirants in Tuesday’s election into various positions in the Nigeria Football Federation to put the interest of the game and the nation above personal considerations.
Amoo, who is called ‘Arsenal’ in his playing days, noted that a lot of people including players, coaches, administrators among others have high stakes in the game which gives them joy.
“It is important that everybody, I mean all the contestants should put the interest of the nation first above all other considerations as we go into the elections.
“Footballers, coaches, referees, administrators don’t have any other business than to give them joy.
“So, every one especially those who may feel aggrieved for one reason or the other should not resort to anything that could jeopardize the game or bring it into disrepute but to always remember there is always another chance.
“Instead of resorting to civil litigation that can endanger the game, it’s necessary that outcome of election be taken in the spirit of sportsmanship”, the former Shooting Stars, Enyimba and Sunshine Stars coach said.
