Super Eagles defender, Ola Aina, is backing his club Hull City to continue their good form with a home win against Sheffield Wednesday in the English Championship on Saturday, and win three more on the trot, Completesportsnigeria.
Hull are unbeaten in their last four league games (two wins and two draws), securing impressive wins fromvtheir last two games against Queens Park Rangers (4-0) and Burton Albion (5-0).
Following their good run of form, Hull are currently 16th on 47 points, 10 points above the drop zone in the 24-team Championship league table with four games left in the current season.
Speaking alongside Hull City manager, Nigel Adkins, during Thursday’s pre-match press conference, Aina predicted a tough game against Sheffield Wednesday but was optimistic of a Hull win.
“Whatever side the manager picks, it doesn’t matter,” Aina who has played in 40 of Hull’s 42 league games this season said.
“We’re a team and we’re all singing from the same hymn sheet. It’ll be another tough game at the weekend but we go into the match with confidence on the back of recent results.”
Aina stated that Hull has what it takes to end the season on a winning run which is their target.
He said: “I fancy us to win our next four games, you can feel the confidence growing in the group. There have been lots of changes, but everyone is coming in and doing well. I just want us to finish the season strongly – that’s our only aim.”
The loanee defender from Chelsea described his time with Hull City so far as a wonderful experience which will go a long way in impacting positively in his football career.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time here so far. It’s my first loan spell and, even though it’s been difficult at times, it’s still been a positive experience and has helped me mature into a man,” Aina remarked.
“Football-wise, I’ve learnt an awful lot. The Championship is totally different to anything I’ve experienced before. It’s not like U23s football and I’ve learnt how to judge games better – when and where to do things and when and where not do things.”
He also reserved special praise for Hull manager, Adkins for helping him to improve as a footballer.
“He’s put a level of confidence and trust into me. He’s talked to me and he’s played me. He’s put trust and confidence in me and that has been a massive help.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
