Aina Grateful To Hull For Successful Loan Spell From Chelsea

By James Agberebi:
Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has sent a thank you message to Championship club Hull City following his successful loan spell with the club from Chelsea for the whole the season,  Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Aina was a regular for Hull in the just concluded Championship season, featuring in 44 of their 46 league games.
Hull finished 18th on 49 points, nine points above the drop zone in the 24-team league table.
Reflecting on the season, Aina, 21, expressed delight that Hull managed to avoid relegation despite a difficult campaign.
“I just want to thank everyone at Hull city for the season. Players, Managers, Coaching Staff, and the Medical Team, that made my time at the KCOM a pleasant one.
“It was a tough season for us all but very happy that we all did our part to keep the club in the division for next season,” he wrote on Twitter.

That’s good of you! You were given playing time because you worked hard. Good luck at the world cup and next season.

    • Well done Aina. If only Dele Alapamsu as well had been able to go on loan and feature regularly for a decent club, he also may have been in contention for a place in the soon-to-be released provisional World Cup squad.

If reports making the rounds in some media platforms are anything to go by, then he may yet feature.

In any event, post-2018 World Cup, the future looks really bright for Nigerian football in all departments of the game.

I am eagerly waiting for Alapamsu, Uzoho, the Nwakalis, Osimen, Awoniyi, Iheanacho and Co (including a selection of senior members of the team) to avenge the 2017 0:2 loss to South Africa come 16 November 2018.
