Nigeria defender Ola Aina had an assist as Hull City recorded an impressive 3-0 away win against Ipswich Town in the English Championship on Tuesday night.
The win was Hull’s second successive win following their 4-3 win against Norwich City on Saturday and a third victory on the road this season.
Aina was on for the full 90 minutes and created Hull’s second goal for Harry Wilson in the 40th minute.
Markus Henriksen scored the opener on 18 minutes while Jarrod Bowen wrapped things up with the third two minutes into the second half.
The win moved Hull City up to 17th on 39 points in the 24-team Championship league table.
The Tigers, as Hull are fondly called, can make it three straight league wins on Saturday when they visit struggling Birmingham City who have lost their last seven league games.
And in another Championship game, Sone Aluko was in action for 90 minutes for Reading who lost 3-0 away to league leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium.
It was Reading’s eight straight league game without a win (four defeats, four draws) and they have now dropped to 19th on the table, six points from the relegation spots. They will be away at Norwich City on Saturday.
