Super Eagles defender Ola Aina could make his first start for his new Serie A side,Torino this weekend at the Grande Torino Olympic Stadium when Spal come visiting for a matchday three clash.
Aina joined Torino on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea on August 14,2018 and made his debut five days later, precisely on the opening weekend of the 2018/2019 Serie A season, coming on as a 27th minute substitute for Lorenzo De Silvestri in the 1-0 loss to visiting AS Roma.
The Nigerian came on as a 20th minute substitute for Cristian Ansaldi at the San Siro in Milan where Torino came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Inter.
With reports that Ansaldi will be out for over three weeks and the Nigerian’s impressive display in the two games he has so far played in the highly competitive Serie A, observers believe a first start is on the card for the defender who missed the Super Eagles cut for the 21st FIFA World Cup in Russia earlier this summer.
Aina played at English Championship side, Hull City last season, making 42 starts in 44 games he featured in.
