Nigeria defender, Ola Aina, fears that Hull City are running out of matches in a bid to avoid a relegation fight following their 3-1 loss to Middlesbrough in the Championship on Tuesday.
Hull suffered back-to-back defeats (FA Cup and Championship) following their latest defeat to Middlesbrough.
The defeat saw Hull occupy the 21st position on 29 points in the 24-team Championship league table. They are just above the drop zone on goals difference.
With 14 games remaining until the campaign comes to a close, the loanee defender from Chelsea admits tht time is running out for the Tigers to get it right.
“We knew it would be a tough game and we went with a game plan – it was set up for us to perform, but we didn’t do that to a standard that is suitable to win a game,” Aina told Hull official website.
“We weren’t ruthless in the final third and there were a few mistakes at the other end that have cost us.
“Match stats are irrelevant if you’re not winning. We gave ourselves a mountain to climb. We kept going but at 3-1 down we’re chasing the game.
“We lost the game and everybody is majorly disappointed. We felt as though the system that we played could be an exciting one. We haven’t played it for a while and there were glimpses of good play, but we haven’t got that much time and we need to start winning games somehow.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
