Akas: NPFL All-Stars Not Scared Of Valencia, Malaga

Nigeria Professional Football League All-Stars captain Chima Akas says  the team is not scared with  the quality of opposition  they will face in the La Liga tour, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The NPFL All-Stars will open their campaign in the tour against La Liga side Valencia on Wednesday.

The side coached by Salisu Yusuf will then take on Malaga CF in the Carranza tourney two days later. 

And should they win the encounter, they will face the winner of the tie between Athletico Madrid and Cadiz.

Akas told Completesportsnigeria.com that they are looking forward to playing against some of the best players in the world.

''The La Liga tour is an opportunity for us to play against some of the best players in the world and I must say we are not  scared of coming up against them,'' the Enyimba defender informed Completesportsnigeria.com.

''I want to commend the League Management Company for this initiative and i6 hope  the trend will continue for a longer time.

''On our part, we have a duty to make the NPFL proud and make sure we compete well out there." 

A delegation of 25 players and some members of the League Owners Association arrived in Spain on Mondayfor the tour.

    I wonder how this exercise will benefit the country, apart from the players. I also wonder if the S.E problem is about players and not the coach. If it was about players, the team should be overhauled. That the coach has been changer implies the problem is more of technical input. NFF lacks aptitude in terms of choice and decision
