Nigeria striker Joseph Akpala netted the opener for Karabukspor in their 2-2 away draw with Istanbul Basaksehir in the Turkish Spor Toto Super Lig on Friday.
The 28-year-old fired the Blue Flame ahead as early as the 20th minute but the homers equalised through Edin Visca in the 25th minute and took the lead at the Basaksehir Fatih Terim.
However, Abdou Razack Traore benefitted from a 90th minute assist from Akpalla to grab a late leveller for Karabukspor.
Known by his admirers as The Little Joe, Akpalla has netted three times so far this season for Karabukspor who are 17th on the top flight ladder in Turkey.
The Nigeria international who has played for Bendel Insurance, Charleroi, Club Brugge and Werder Bremen scored four goals for Karabukspor in 11 appearances during his loan stint last season before injury set in and led to contact termination.
However, he signed a three-year deal with the team at the beginning of the 2014/15 season.
