Akpan Laments Reading’s 6-1 Loss

Super Eagles midfielder Hope Akpan has lamented Reading’s 6-1 defeat in the hands of Birmingham City at St. Andrew’s in the English Championship on Saturday.


The former Everton player who is still out with injury which he sustained against Congo in Pointe Noire, described the result as frustrating.

He wrote on his twitter page: “So frustrating, sat at home watching the scores come in… Worst Saturday ever!!”

Reading are on 25 points same as Birmingham but are behind the Blues who have a better goal differece.

They host Watford at the Madjesky Stadium next weekend.
