By James Agberebi: Former Nigeria international Jonathan Akpoborie has tipped Germany to beat Italy in Saturday's Euro 2016 quarter-final clash.
The Germans will be seeking their first-ever win against Italy in a major championship fixture.
The world champions have lost four and drawn four of their last eight clashes with Italy.
Akpoborie, who played for Stuttgart in the German Bundesliga, stated that Joachim Loew's men are favourites against the Italian.
"The Germans are destined for victory tonight," he wrote on his Twitter handle.
To get to the quarter-final stage, Germany defeated Slovakia 3-0, while Italy beat Spain 2-0.
A win for either Germany or Italy will meet the winner between France or Iceland who play on Sunday.
