By Izuchukwu Okosi:
Anglo-Nigerian young striker Chuba Akpom on Thursday joined Nottingham Forest on loan.
The 19-year-old, both clubs confirmed, joins Forest until May 31.
Akpom, who is one of the youngsters that Nigeria Football Federation President, Amaju Pinnick hopes to convince to represent Nigeria at the senior international level rather than England, is on an away duty this weekend with the England under-20s and is expected to play against the USA on Sunday before Forest’s Good Friday clash with Wolves on April 3.
The Arsenal man has spent time at Brentford and Coventry this season.
Akpom made his Arsenal debut this season and manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly a big admirer of the forward and he has made three substitute appearances in the Premier League so far this season.Copyright © 2022 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
