Al Farouq Aminu recorded his third highest point this season in the NBA when he scored 20 points in Portland Trail Blazers' 110-109 defeat to the Minnesota Timberwolves early Tuesday morning, reports Completesportsnigeria.com
.Prior to this encounter, Aminu had scored 23 points against the Brooklyn Nets on the 4th of March and 26 points against the Boston Celtics on the 9th of February.
It was Portland Trail Blazers' 39th defeat of the season.
Aminu who made his 36th appearance of the season was on for 35 minutes, and he churned in seven rebounds, five assists and three blocks in the encounter.
He has averaged 8.6 points per game, 7.4 rebound and 1.6 assists, 0.7 blocks and 1.0 steals so far this season.
With five games left to play, the Trail Blazers have an advantage of making it to the NBA playoff finals as they will be playing four of their last five games at home.
Portland Trail Blazers will clash with the Utah Jazz twice, before battling San Antonio Spurs and New Orleans Pelicans as they bid to clinch a playoff place in the Western Conference.
