By Adeboye Amosu: Al Hilal of Sudan’s Nigerian midfielder Azeez Shobowale is confident the club will secure a place in the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup at the expense of Akwa United, Completesportsnigeria. com reports.
Shobowale, 26, played a key role as Al Hilal secured a 2-0 win in the first leg of their play-off tie fixture in Omdurman a fortnight ago.
The former Kano Pillars star stated that the Sudanese are not scared of facing the Promise Keepers in Uyo on Wednesday.
”We are going to Uyo to qualify for the next stage of the Confederation Cup,” Shobowale told CAFOnline.com.
“Akwa United may carry the day but we will qualify and I’m confident about this because we are coming to fight our way through.
“I don’t believe in home advantage since it’s going to be 11 players of Hilal against 11 players of Akwa United.
“The fans will not be on the pitch to play for Akwa United.”
