Al-Merrikh of Sudan forward, Dayo Ojo has described Rivers United as tough opponents ahead of their CAF Champions League Round of 32 clashes and says he will give his team useful insider information as they look to outwit the Nigerian team, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Ojo who joined The Red Devils along with former Super Eagles defender, Kunle Odunlami from Nigeria Professional Football League outfit Sunshine Stars last year, will come up against some of his friends when both teams clash in the first leg tie at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt on March 19.
"It's a big opportunity for me to meet some of friends again and I'm looking forward to the game,"Ojo told Completesportsnigeria.com from his base in Omdurman on Tuesday.
"Rivers United have a lot of quality players in their team, and they will no doubt make things difficult for us.
"To beat them, we have to be at our best. We want to make it into the group stage of the competition and possibly win it.
"I have deep knowledge about their team, and will give some tips to our coaches on how to beat them."
Al-Merrikh beat Sony El Nguema of Equatorial Guinea 5-1 on aggregate to advance into the round of 32, while Rivers United enjoyed a 4-0 aggregate win against Mali's AS Real Bamako.
