Resurgent Nigeria striker, Alhaji Gero is set for a move to the Swedish top flight from second division club Osters at the end of the season on the back of his recent form.
Gero, who has been capped by Nigeria at U20 and ‘B’ levels, scored twice for Osters IF in a thrilling 3-3 draw at Jonkopings Sodra on Monday to take his tally to eight goals with a final game on Sunday.
The former Enugu Rangers striker scored an equaliser to take the game to 2-2 in the 70th minute.
He completed a brace with another equaliser in the 88th minute to end the game 3-3.
Osters will not win an instant return to the top league this season as they are 13th on the league table with 32 points from 29 games. But their Nigeria striker could well move up after his impressive goal.-scoring form this season.
“My club officials have told me we will discuss my future at the end of the season. They told me there have been some interests from some clubs in the top league and so we have to wait and see,” the big striker told AfricanFootball.com
“My goals have shown I have now fully adapted to life and the football in Sweden and so the interests from some top teams.”
Gero joined Osters last year, but he could not save them from relegation to the Swedish lower league.
