Nigeria striker, Alhaji Gero has told AfricanFootball.com his top target is to help new club Viborg win promotion back to the Danish top flight.
Last season, Viborg were demoted to the lower league, but they are now second in the standings with 37 points, same as table toppers Lyngby, half way through the campaign. Closest rivals AGF and Vendsyssel are both six points adrift.
“My main priority is to give my support to the team to get back to the top league this season,” the 21-year-old Gero disclosed.
“They were relegated last season, but this season they are around the top of the standings and are poised to return to the top division in Denmark.”
The ex-Flying Eagles striker also revealed he wishes to win laurels with his new
club including playing in the UEFA Champions League.
“I want to win things with Viborg now and also play in the Champions League. They look like very tall ambitions but I know they are very achievable with hard work and focus.” The former Osters of Sweden star will join up with his new club on January 5.
