Home-based Super Eagles striker, Ibrahim Alhassan, has expressed firm optimism that they will come out victorious against hosts Benin Republic in the first leg of their 2018 CHAN qualifiers in Cotonou on Sunday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
In a chat with Completesportsnigeria.com here in Cotonou, the Akwa United foorward who has scored 12 goals in the Nigeria Professional Football League this season, assured that the confidence in the home-based Super Eagles camp is high and the team is raring to go.
"The spirit in the camp is very high because we really mean business," Alhassan told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"I want to assure Nigerians that tomorrow (Sunday) is going to be our day and we are going to come out victorious by God's grace."
Alhassan who was a member of the Flying Eagles team that won the 2015 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Senegal, described the home-based Eagles preparation as superb.
"It has been fantastic so far (training). We've been camping for the past two weeks and it has been really good for us.
" We had a very good training camp in Kano before moving to Cotonou which has been good. The weather has been nice.
"Hopefully, we are going to come out with a positive result tomorrow (Sunday)."
