Alli Doubtful For Bournemouth Clash

Midfielder Dele Alli is a doubt for the Boxing Day visit of Bournemouth as Tottenham look to keep pace with the leading duo. Dele Alli only the first half of Spurs’ 6-2 thrashing of Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday after picking up a hamstring injury.

It is the England man’s second injury of the campaign as he sat out a couple of weeks in September with a knock, but it is not known how serious the problem is.

With so many games on the horizon, the former MK Dons ace may not be risked for the Cherries clash while fellow midfielder Moussa Sissoko could be rested after featuring in all but seven minutes of the last five matches.

Definitely out are Eric Dier (appendix), Jan Vertonghen (thigh), Mousa Dembele (ankle), Victor Wanyama (knee) and Vincent Janssen (foot), with Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura in contention to come into the side.

Danny Rose might earn a start to give Ben Davies a day off and Kyle Walker-Peters is available on the opposite flank if Mauricio Pochettino opts to rest Kieran Trippier.
