Almeria midfielder Ramon Azeez has been offered a new two-year deal to stay with the second division side in their battle to gain promotion to LaLiga, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Azeez who is in the final year of his contract at the club is however stalling on the new deal, seeking reassurance that he will be allowed to leave if suitable offers are made for him next summer.
Almeria had asked for €800,000 for the former U-17 and U20 player who they snapped up from Future Pro Academy for around €200,000 in 2011.
The 24-year-old Nigerian international has been in a rich vein of form lately, scoring twice in eight games for the relegation battlers.
"Almeria has tabled an improved offer for Ramon to stay on at the club but after what they did to him after the World Cup I doubt if he will consent to the new deal.
"Their outrageous demands in order to keep him at the club last season and restricting him to just three appearances stopped him from progressing further after the World Cup in Brazil,"one of his advisers told Completesportsnigeria.com.
Ramon who is expected to feature in Saturday's clash away to Alcorcón has been linked with two Bundesliga teams.
